1. Guacamole
Guacamole has a long and flavorful history, dating back to ancient Mesoamerican civilizations. We all remember avocado when we hear of this dip but little do we know that the word "guacamole" itself is derived from the Nahuatl (Aztec language) word "āhuacamolli", which combines "āhuacatl" (avocado) and "molli" (sauce).
Originally, guacamole was made by mashing ripe avocados and mixing them with tomatoes, onions, and other local ingredients. Now, it has gained popularity and has resulted in several guacamole recipes as a favorite dip, condiment, or topping for a variety of dishes.
